We all deserve a little luxury sometimes. Just because you’re suffering from old age or a mobility issue, doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a nice relaxing bath in the evening. With a walk-in bath, nearly everyone can enjoy the luxury of a steaming hot bubble bath, regardless of their age or condition.
Set The Mood
Very little relieves stress like a good soak in the tub. A perfect way to relax and unwind at the best of times, there’s still plenty of room to increase your ambience even further. With the addition of candlelight, bath salts and maybe even a little music to underscore your soak, there are no limitations when it comes to relaxing the body and mind.
If you’re feeling particularly opulent, why not turn on the air jets? The small bubbles released are great for reducing stress, gently massaging the body to ease aches and pains. This makes it a terrific option for people who suffer from back pain, arthritis, and other muscle or joint conditions.
Run It Hot
Finding the right temperature level for your bath is pivotal. If it’s too hot, it will be unbearable, probably more likely to burn your skin than to relax your body and mind. If the bath’s too tepid, you’ll get the shivers, the bath salts won’t dissolve and everything will quickly become uncomfortable. Much like Goldilocks and her famous porridge; you want the balance to be just right.
Try running your bath hot then leaving it for a good ten minutes, or just long enough for it to cool off a touch. You still want it to sting a little when you get in, that way it’ll stay nice and warm, even if you do decide to take your time.
Soap and Soak
Depending on your specific needs, why not add a few fancy supplements to your bath? It’s down to personal preference on which one works best, whether adding a bubble bath, essential oils or an Epsom salt, but if you’re soaking regularly to relax and ease pain, all of these will provide your body with a chance to detoxify and reset. Remember; essential oils can be great for skin needs, as well as helping you sleep, but Epsom salt is excellent for sore muscles, aches and joint pain.
Take Your Time
If your bath is at the right temperature, you’ll be able to relax uninterrupted for quite some time, offering up opportunities to enjoy your soak just that little bit more. Why not try reading a book, listening to some music, or even settling in with a glass of wine? Treat yourself, take your time, and switch off from the outside world. After all; you deserve it!
